Maggie's thoughtful interviews with guests on her podcast have become a go-to listen for me while in the kitchen. They always leave me feeling inspired and hungry...grateful her newsletter includes recipes! Maggie's editor-chops really shine with how she curates content in The Dinner Plan.
Hillary gets it! as a former Eater editor, as a recipe developer, as a mom. Whether I'm reading her recs for what to make for a weeknight dinner, or enjoying a recipe from her stable of super-legit contribs, What Are We Having? always delivers.
Clare makes cooking feel chic, and practical, and totally doable. It's actually wild to me she can have this much knowledge, and good taste without a whiff of pretension. If I need to channel Martha (but in an approachable way) I'm reading whatever Clare is writing.
Meghan makes food budgeting feel fun, tasty, and something to be proud of. A true feat in my book, as someone who is tempted to bury my head in the sand here. She's also a warm presence in the kitchen and on the page, and a really great recipe developer.
I'm here for Emily's smart, voicey, and insightful writing as much as the beautiful, bright salads. Department of Salad brings me so much joy, and reminds me that there are stories everywhere, if we're observant and thoughtful enough to write them. Also, I should eat more vegetables.
